As a technology investment holding company, AIRSLAND Ltd applies proportionate due diligence procedures to investors, counterparties and business partners. The Company seeks to verify identity, source of funds and business purpose where appropriate and maintains records in line with applicable legal and compliance expectations. We are committed to conducting our business honestly and in accordance with applicable laws and good business practice.
2. Legal Framework
In carrying out its activities, the Company has regard to relevant UK legislation and international standards, including:
- The Money Laundering, Terrorist Financing and Transfer of Funds (Information on the Payer) Regulations 2017
- The Proceeds of Crime Act 2002
- The Terrorism Act 2000
- Applicable sanctions regimes
- Generally accepted international standards, including FATF recommendations
3. Due Diligence
The Company applies proportionate due diligence to counterparties, investors and business partners. Where appropriate, this includes verification of identity, understanding the nature of the business relationship, and considering the purpose of the relationship. Additional checks may be undertaken where higher risks are identified.
4. Source of Funds
Where appropriate, the Company seeks to understand and verify the source of funds for investments and significant transactions. The Company intends only to accept funds from legitimate sources and to retain relevant supporting records.
5. Risk Awareness
The Company seeks to remain alert to money laundering, terrorist financing and other financial crime risks relevant to its activities, and to apply proportionate measures reflecting the nature and stage of its business.
6. Sanctions Awareness
The Company has regard to applicable sanctions regimes, including UK, EU and OFAC measures, and does not intend to conduct business with sanctioned individuals, entities or jurisdictions.
7. Record Keeping
The Company seeks to maintain appropriate records of due diligence and transactions in line with applicable legal and compliance expectations. Records are stored securely.
